Thomas Lee

Education
Dr. Thomas K. Lee grew up in the Chicago area and earned his BA from Northwestern University in Evanston, IL. He went on to receive his DDS from the University of Illinois, College of Dentistry in Chicago, IL. He then completed his Hospital Dentistry Residency training at the University Medical Center in Fresno, CA. Following a year of general dentistry practice in Sacramento, CA, he pursued advanced specialty training at the UCLA School of Dentistry in Advanced Prosthodontics.

Experience
Upon completing his prosthodontics training, Dr. Lee was appointed Director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) — an ADA-accredited, post-DDS residency program at UCLA. He served as full-time faculty at UCLA from 1995 to 2001, during which time the program he directed grew from 2 to 14 residents per year.
Although Dr. Lee transitioned to full-time private practice in 2001, he was reappointed in 2005 as Director and Associate Clinical Professor of the UCLA AEGD program. In this role, he led the highly acclaimed program, contributed to numerous research projects, and maintained a part-time private practice until 2025, when he chose to step down from his UCLA responsibilities
to focus primarily on clinical private practice.
Today, Dr. Lee maintains a full-time private practice in Santa Monica, CA, near, with a clinical focus on TMJD, occlusion, dental implants, and reconstructive dentistry. Widely recognized among his peers as an expert in complex full mouth reconstructions, he has presented at numerous national and international dental conferences.
Locally, Dr. Lee has led study clubs for several years and has served as an expert consultant to the California Dental Association and
various legal firms on a range of dental topics.
