Dr. Arash Hakhamian is one of the founding members of GDIA and has built numerous successful practices throughout Southern California upon completing his dental degree from USC School of Dentistry. Dr. Hakhamian also holds a BS in Anthropology from UCLA where he graduated with Latin Honors, Departmental Honors and College Honors . Dr. Arash Hakhamian has been the recipient of numerous international fellowships/awards including ICOI, IADFE, WAUPS, GDIA, ADA, CDA among others. He is one of the leading worldwide experts on the field of Teledentistry and Mobile Dentistry and his company Dentulu was awarded the ADA “Best of Class” Technology company through Cellarant in the field of Teledentistry. He has participated as a surgical instructor for various teaching institutions both locally and internationally and continues to lecture on the subject in addition to running Dentulu. Dr. Hakhamian was voted as one of the Top 40 Dentists Under 40 by Incisal Edge Magazine (2018), Top Cosmetic Dentists by Los Angeles Magazine (2018) , Top 100 Dentists in the world by the Global Summits (2020) and one of the most influential people in Teledentistry by the National Mobile and Teledentistry Alliance in 2021. Dr. Hakhamian comes from a line of dental professionals with his father, mother, brother, and sister all licensed dental professionals. Currently Dr. Hakhamian is spearheading the adoption and expansion of Telehealth in Dentistry and doing research with an extensive team of dental professionals around the world using remote patient monitoring and artificial intelligence to enhance current dental workflows. In addition to operating Dentulu and multiple successful dental practices, Dr. Hakhamian is a highly sought-after dental consultant and instructor on a variety of topics ranging from advanced surgical techniques to dental business management. His patients and his students benefit from his passion to utilize and lecture about cutting edge technology such as Artificial Intelligence, machine learning, and mHealth. Dr. Arash enjoys traveling around the world 2-4 times per year to do volunteer missions in developing countries and currently serves as a dentist to the Special Olympics and multiple non profit organizations. He is fluent in four languages and is publishing a series of books on various subjects within dentistry and dental technology.
