COURSE OVERVIEW

Basic Implant Course is specifically designed for dentists who are new to dental implant placement. The first session will concentrate on basic surgical and implant therapy, with a focus on mastering the single-tooth implant. The course aims to provide dentists with a solid foundation in the knowledge and skills required to safely and effectively diagnose, plan, and place dental implants in their own offices.

  • 6-day program
  • Comprehensive course encompassing didactics, relevant literature review, practical hands-on component, Digital dentistry, PRF and a live-surgery demonstration
  • The course is taught by a general dentist with an emphasis on surgical implant practice and a seasoned board-certified periodontist

COURSE SCHEDULE

  • 8:00AM – 8:30AM: Sign-in/Breakfast
  • 8:30AM – 5:00PM: Lecture/Hands-on/Live-Surgery Observation
    * Breakfast & Lunch will be provided
  • Evaluating patients: anatomy, medical assessment, site volume
  • Understanding fundamentals of bone biology, wound healing, biomechanics
  • Navigating implant console, motor, surgical kit, prosthetics
  • Planning and placing implants in correct location, angulation, depth via freehanded
  • Planning an intermediate case and deciding correct size, position
  • Learning materials and methods of bone grafting and membranes
  • Restoring implants with excellent cosmetic results
  • Implementing excellent sterile technique
  • Developing good clinical decisions and clear dialogue with patient
  • Core science behind of Platelet Rich Fibrin
  • Phlebotomy
  • Various applications of PRF membrane
  • How to make sticky bones
  • Various dental surgical procedures using PRF and sticky bone.
  • Learn basics about digital dentistry
  • Learn how to obtain digital data to design surgical guides
  • Use software to design surgical guides
  • Learn how to fabricate surgical guides
  • Get familiar with a guided surgical kit for implant surgeries
  • Get familiar with a guided surgical kit for implant surgeries
  • Didactics on principles of guided implant surgeries
  • Hands-on a software to design own surgical guide
  • Hands-on to place implants using a surgical guide

Participants will perform live surgery that’s supervised by the course director and faculty.
*A current malpractice policy and an active unrestricted California dental license is required for attendees to be able to participate in surgical procedures.

Cancellation/Refund Policy

Refunds are granted only if a written cancellation notification is received within 31 days before the course. 50% of the tuition minus processing fee will be refunded if cancellation occurs within 21 days before this course. No refund is granted afterwards. A $75 fee is withheld for processing. Cancellation must be notified in writing by emailing [email protected].
