Dr. Jason Yamada was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii and received his DDS degree from the University of Southern California (USC) and his specialty degree in Periodontics and a Master of Science degree in Oral Biology from Northwestern University. He is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Advanced Graduate Education Program in Periodontics and Implant Surgery at Loma Linda University Dental School and has been a guest lecturer at both USC Dental School and UCLA Dental School. Dr. Yamada has been featured in articles and magazines as well as having been aired on television programs such as “Awareness”, “Heartbeat of the City”, “Common Sense”.
He has lectured nationally in the United States as well as internationally in Korea, Japan, Spain the U.K. and Colombia and has spoken at the Academy of Osseointegration (A.O.) and the American Academy of Periodontology (A.A.P.) on his ISM (Internal Sinus Manipulation) technique. He also has several patents on his ISM instruments and technique. Dr. Yamada currently practices in Torrance and Irvine California with an emphasis on Implant Surgery and Restoration, Microsurgery, and Periodontal Surgery. Due to his broad experience in Implant Surgery and aiding in planning and restoration of dental implants, he has been a clinical advisor and consultant for several implant companies.
Dr. Yamada has a no-nonsense simplistic way of teaching biologic concepts and utilizing these in “everyday practice”. He is the founder of IPI (“The Implant and Periodontal Institute of Torrance”) and has taught many general dentists as well as specialists on the topics of periodontal, cosmetic as well as implant surgery.
