Dr. Carl Werts received his Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Davis and graduated from Georgetown University, School of Dentistry in 1980. He has owned a private general dentistry practice since 1981. Dr. Werts is an avid pursuer of continuing education. He has received Fellowship Credentials from the Academy of General Dentistry in 1988, and from the International Congress of Oral Implantologists in 2014. He has been well-versed in the restorative side of implantology since 1996 and in 2008, he refocused his career to include all the surgical aspects of implant dentistry. Through monthly volunteering, he shares his surgical skills at the LA Christian Health Center and goes on international medical missions (most recently to China, Guatemala, Cambodia, and El Salvador). As so many clinicians have shared with him, he loves sharing the knowledge and skills he has learned and is proud to be a faculty member of GDIA.
